FX drama “Sons of Anarchy” has cast musician Marilyn Manson in a recurring role for its upcoming seventh and final season.

Manson will play Ron Tully, an imprisoned white supremacist shot-caller who Jax uses to expand his power base.

“‘Sons’ has been such a big part of my life, as well as my father’s,” said Manson. “So I was determined to make him proud by being involved in what will probably be remembered as the most amazing piece of television cinema. After all, the very heart of ‘SOA’ is about that relationship. So, now all I need is a motorcycle.”

Manson has previously appeared on “Eastbound and Down” and lent his voice to “Once Upon a Time” last season.
“Sons of Anarchy” returns to FX for its final season in September 2014.

A man has been arrested on suspicion of battery after allegedly punching Brad Pitt in the face at the premiere of Maleficent in Los Angeles.

Ukrainian reporter Vitalii Sediuk - who is known for pranking celebrities - was reportedly seen jumping over a barrier, hugging and then striking the star.

The 25-year-old was wrestled to the floor by bodyguards before being led away in handcuffs by police.

Pitt, who had been signing autographs at the time, was not seriously hurt

Maleficent is Disney's modern retelling of the Sleeping Beauty fairytale, starring Pitt's partner Angelina Jolie as its villain.

A spokesperson for the film company said: "This was an unfortunate and inappropriate incident that is being investigated by the Los Angeles Police Department."

A police spokesman said Mr Sediuk was held in custody on Wednesday night pending $20,000 (£12,000) bail.

"The officers who were handling him said it looked like [the attack] was intentional, but at this point, it remains to be determined," Sgt Leonard Calderon told Reuters.

Mr Sediuk has a history of red carpet stunts and pranking celebrities.

Last week, he hit headlines after he crawled under the skirt of Ugly Betty actress America Ferrera at the Cannes Film Festival.

George Michael's recent medical problems

George Michael has suffered a series of medical problems since 2011.
The singer, 50, has been out of the spotlight since last year, when he fell out of a car on the M1 motorway and was airlifted to hospital with a head injury.
In 2011 he suffered severe pneumonia which left him temporarily in a coma and meant he needed to undergo a tracheotomy in order to breathe.
He has also battled depression and drug addiction.

Queen guitarist Brian May stopped by BBC Radio ostensibly to discuss Diableries: Stereoscopic Adventures in Hell, his new book on 19th century French stereoscopic cards. But after detailing his lifelong love of the cards and their odd visions of hell, May revealed plans for a new Queen album featuring unreleased Freddie Mercury vocals from the Eighties.

Asked what his favorite Queen song ever recorded was, May said the answer changes every time, but "my favorite at the moment is 'Made in Heaven,' which was never a single but it's the title track off the [1995] album we made after Freddie was gone with all the pieces that were left.
"I've just been doing something very similar because we found a few more tracks with Freddie singing and all of us playing and they're quite beautiful. People will be hearing this work toward the end of the year."
May revealed the album will "probably" be called Queen Forever, with the material primarily taken from the Eighties "when we were in full flight." "It's a compilation but it will have this new material on which nobody in the world has ever heard and I think people will really enjoy it," said the guitarist. "It's the big, big epic sound. It wouldn’t have been if we hadn’t have done this restoration job. We only had scraps, but knowing how it would've happened had we finished it, I can sit there and make it happen with modern technology."
The guitarist also admitted that he has "secretly and quietly workshopped" a follow-up to We Will Rock You, the wildly successful musical based on the band's songs. "We are working on a sequel, yes," said May. "In fact, we've already very secretly and quietly workshopped, which means you stand it up and get people to sing it and act it. Everybody loved it, so we're looking for a theatre and we hope to have a sequel out there at some point. More than this, I cannot say. It's a little naughtier than the first one." We Will Rock You author Ben Elton will return for the sequel.
But before any of that, Queen will embark on a 19-date cross-country tour with Adam Lambert kicking off June 19th at Chicago's United Center and wrapping up July 20th at Washington D.C.'s Merriweather Post Pavilion. "This is the closest that you'll ever get to see Queen as it was in our golden days, but it's not a reproduction," May told Rolling Stone. "It's not an imitation. We're here live and real and we have a great singer. They'll be a lot of newness about this. I think that's very exciting. It'll be loud and dangerous and all the things that people used to look for in us."

Over Memorial Day weekend, 20 of my buddies from Boston College got together in Charleston for our friend EJ's bachelor party. At one point during dinner at a steakhouse, one guy goes to the bathroom downstairs and sees Bill Murray sitting with some people with a fishing vest on. We talked to the waiter to see if we could send him some drinks, to which Bill declined. One of my buddies then went down and asked if he'd come up and say a few words for EJ and got a "No thanks." My buddy comes back up dejected and tells us it's not going to happen. Two minutes later, Bill fucking Murray walks into the room and gives this speech.
Bill Murray's job now is to pop up in random spots and make your day, and he's gotten so, so good at it. His advice is excellent, by the way. "You know how they say funerals aren't for the dead but for the living? ..."

Charlie Cox to Star in ‘Daredevil’ TV Series for Marvel and Netflix

British actor Charlie Cox has secured the titular role of “Daredevil” in Marvel/Netflix’s upcoming live-action series, sources confirm to Variety.
The character was last seen on the big screen in 2003, when Ben Affleck donned Matt Murdock’s signature red horns. “Daredevil” is one of four Marvel properties set to headline serialized solo series set in and around Hell’s Kitchen, New York, along with “Jessica Jones,” “Iron Fist” and “Luke Cage.” The quartet will then band together in a Netflix miniseries event titled “The Defenders.” The initial order  for “Daredevil” is 13 episodes.
Over the weekend, news broke that Drew Goddard had stepped down as showrunner of the streaming series, to be replaced by “Spartacus” creator Steven S. DeKnight. Goddard will now serve as a consultant on the show, but will reportedly focus most of his energies on writing and directing Sony’s upcoming “Spider-Man” spinoff “Sinister Six.”
After dominating the box office with its superhero franchises in recent years, Marvel has begun investing heavily in the small screen; in addition to renewing “Marvel’s Agents of SHIELD,” ABC recently ordered “Captain America” spinoff “Agent Carter,” starring Hayley Atwell, for midseason.
Cox starred opposite Claire Danes in “Stardust” and had a regular role in season three of HBO’s “Boardwalk Empire.”
Marvel declined to comment on the casting rumor, which was first reported by Latino Review.
Cox is repped by WME and 3 Arts Entertainment.

Sam Simon faces down his terminal cancer diagnosis by spending his vast fortune (how much? "I don't know") on animal rights and feeding the hungry: "I get pleasure from it. I love it."

Called both "brilliantly funny" and "mentally unbalanced" by Simpsons co-creator Matt Groening, television writer-producer Sam Simon, 58, has become known throughout Hollywood for his philanthropy since leaving the iconic animated series in 1993 (he retained a highly lucrative executive producer title). A Stanford grad who grew up in Beverly Hills and Malibu -- and rose in the industry at a young age to become the showrunner of Taxi at 24 -- Simon confesses, "I don't know," when it comes to estimating his charitable donations to date.
His contributions include founding the Malibu-based Sam Simon Foundation (worth nearly $23 million as of 2011) that rescues the hungry (humans -- but with vegan foods only) and strays (dogs, of any variety). His other pet charities include PETA, which in February thanked him for his support by naming its Norfolk, Va., headquarters the Sam Simon Center; international nonprofit Save the Children; and the Sea Shepherd Conservation Society, a global marine conservation organization. His contributions led it to name one of the four ships in its fleet of vessels, used to hinder whaling and illegal fishing, the M/Y Simon in 2012. He also turned a Malibu spread into a canine haven that rescues dogs from kill shelters and trains them as companions for the deaf.
Five months ago, the nine-time Emmy winner -- whose post-Simpsons projects have included directing (The Drew Carey Show), hosting (the short-lived poker reality series Sam's Game for Playboy TV) and consulting (currently on FX's Anger Management) -- was diagnosed with terminal colon cancer. He confirmed during a May 16 WTF With Marc Maron podcast that he was given the prognosis of three to six months to live and that he will donate nearly all of his sizable Simpsons royalties -- which he has said earn him "tens of millions" annually -- to charity. (Simon's marriages to Jennifer Tilly and Playboy Playmate Jami Ferrell were childless, or child-free, depending on your point of view.) "I think it's really nice for him that he's doing it now and he gets to see the results of his philanthropy," says Tilly. "He really does have a passion to survive, and the longer he's on the earth, the more good work he can do." On July 1, Simon spoke frankly to THR about what goes on in the mind of someone who has much to give but not a lot of time to give it.

The Hollywood Reporter: How are you feeling these days?
Sam Simon: It's basically one week of chemotherapy on, one week off. It used to be that when I was off, I would bounce back and start feeling good. But I get every possible side effect -- fatigue, nausea -- and the chemo accumulates in your body, so today and tomorrow are, like, my two good days for the month. So I'm feeling pretty good today, and, you know, we shall see.
THR: What is your work schedule like?
Simon: I do half a day a week on Anger Management on FX. Whatever they're doing, I just sit in with the writing that day. And I do my radio show [on Radioio.com]. That's a good workload for me. I'm not supposed to drive anymore, but I do. I got into three accidents on my way home between Wilshire and 16th to here. I think they give me too much Ativan. That's the way it is now.
THR: How active can you be with your charitable work right now?
Simon: I was never that hands-on with any of it. I've just been fortunate to find great people to run things. Frankly, one of the pleasures of the foundation is hanging out with the people because they are some of the nicest people in my life.

THR: How did you get involved in animal rights?
Simon: I was just an animal lover. Everything that the Sam Simon Foundation does is supposed to help dogs and people -- that's our mission. I like dogs and meeting people whose dogs we've saved with our free-surgery day. When The Drew Carey Show did a show about greyhound racing, I was on the show and asked the writer for a script change. I didn't think it affected the story at all, but they didn't want to do it. I didn't want to take any money from this episode and [wanted] to make a statement about dog racing, so I donated my money from this episode to PETA. So PETA set up this photo shoot and were supposed to get these six dogs from this California greyhound rescue on this [race] track. I got up there, and there were no dogs. They said that the greyhound track found out about the PETA shoot, so if they put their dogs in the shoot, they were going to kill the six dogs that the rescue was going to get the next month. I just thought that was pretty startling. Then I started hanging around with those PETA maniacs, and it's a slippery slope, and I just slipped all the way down to the bottom.
THR: How did that grow from there? There's no question that you're a major philanthropist.
Simon: The sort of lifetime achievement stuff that I'm getting now is kind of like Tom Sawyer's funeral because they all know I'm sick. I am getting buildings named after me and awards and stuff. The truth is, I have more money than I'm interested in spending. Everyone in my family is taken care of. And I enjoy this.
THR: Were there influences that pushed you in a certain direction?
Simon: Paul Watson [of Sea Shepherd] presented the idea for the ship. Charlie MacCormack at Save the Children is great. And Ingrid [Newkirk, of PETA] -- these are pillars of pure dedication who inspired me. When I was sick, I got to summon people to my hospital room. Ingrid and I got this fun idea. I started to buy these zoos and circuses in December. I just wanted to have some days where I get to see animals walk in grass for the first time. Through PETA, we rescue animals in roadside zoos and circuses. They are some of the most abused animals in the country. Freeing those animals, that's something I'm not sure I would do if it weren't for the cancer.

THR: Do you get frustrated with bad things happening to good people? Like, why didn't someone else get this cancer?
Simon: No. I don't think that's what karma is. It never crossed my mind. But I don't think the spirit of Hollywood is such a spirit of generosity. I think people really begrudge giving. In New York, it's like that. A lot of charities spend a million dollars on a fundraiser to make $15,000. It's a social swirl. They do some great stuff and then -- it's called mission drift. It becomes more about the parties. You know, I'm not married, and I don't have kids. I had an emergency operation when I was septic, and I really did come very close to dying. My colon cancer perforated my colon. When I woke up in the hospital, even though I did have a will, it did become that much more important to me to set this stuff up for the future. And the Rockefeller Foundation has consultants [Rockefeller Philanthropy Advisors] who have been amazing. We found fantastic trustees. It's something that will be living after I'm gone.
THR: You said to Marc Maron on his podcast that you've been aggressive about the giving you've done, that you are giving most of all you can give. At what point did you feel morally compelled to go all the way?
Simon: One thing is, I get pleasure from it. I love it. I don't feel like it is an obligation. One of the things about animal rights, which is not the only thing that I care about in this world, is that your money can bring success. I see results. There is stuff happening, really good stuff, every week. I'm not sure you get that with a lot of disease charities. If you were donating to environmental causes for the past 20 years, do you think your money is doing anything? Because I don't, and I used to support some conservationist stuff -- Sierra Club, World Wildlife Fund. They're treading water. Climate change is a big part of their problem. The environment has been destroyed, basically.
THR: What change do you want to see in the world?
Simon: I want medical experiments on animals stopped. They don't do anything, and they don't work. Veganism is an answer for almost every problem facing the world in terms of hunger and climate change. It helps people's health. Meat is the biggest greenhouse gas producer. There's also the cruelty and suffering aspect. When people do meatless Mondays, and when people adopt instead of buying a dog, that's a PETA victory.
THR: Do people ask why you don't give to another cause?
Simon: Of course. The food bank -- we distribute at the Tom Bradley Center on Pico and then further down off of Koreatown south of the 10 -- is the one where we feed 200 families a day, and they go, "That's great!" Then I say that it's cruelty-free vegan food, and they go: "Ohhh. I see. What if the people aren't vegan?" I tell them then they can go eat at your food bank.

THR: So you've decided to scale up the foundation?
Simon: We are going to expand all this stuff. We do a day in our mobile clinic where we do dog and cat surgeries for free except complicated procedures. For the first nine months, we couldn't fill up the truck. But now it's a huge success. It just took a while for the community to find out about it. And now I think we're going to add another day for free surgeries. The Sam Simon Foundation is going to be very well endowed, and there's a lot of stuff I want them to do.
THR: What allows you to do more?
Simon: The Simpsons money got bigger and bigger. When I left The Simpsons, no one thought that this thing was going to still be around. It's the cumulative effect. It's like, "Oh my God, 25 years later, and it's still coming in."
THR: Has having cancer changed your view of humor?
Simon: No. There's some stuff on TV that I'm like, "With the time I have left, do I really want to watch Wipeout?" But I have a problem when it comes to watching Big Brother. I got my shows. TV for a cancer patient.

WINSTON-SALEM, N.C. — Award-winning author, renowned poet and civil rights activist Dr. Maya Angelou has died. She was 86.
Winston-Salem Mayor Allen Joines confirmed Angelou was found by her caretaker on Wednesday morning.
Angelou’s publicist, Helen Brann, also confirmed the news.
Angelou had been reportedly battling health problems. She recently canceled a scheduled appearance of a special event to be held in her honor.
Angelou was set to be honored with the “Beacon of Life Award” at the 2014 MLB Beacon Award Luncheon on May 30 in Houston.
Wake Forest University issued a statement on Wednesday:
“Dr. Angelou was a national treasure whose life and teachings inspired millions around the world, including countless students, faculty, and staff at Wake Forest, where she served as Reynolds Professor of American Studies since 1982. Our thoughts and prayers are with Dr. Angelou’s family and friends during this difficult time.”
School officials said information about a campus memorial may be shared at a later date.

Angelou, one of the most renowned and influential voices of our time, is a celebrated poet, novelist, educator, producer, actress, filmmaker and civil rights activist.
A professor, singer and dancer, among other things, Angelou’s work spans several different professions. She spent her early years studying dance and drama in California.
After dropping out at age 14, she became the San Francisco’s first African-American female cable car conductor.
Angelou later returned to high school to finish her diploma and gave birth to her son a few weeks after graduation. While the 17-year-old single mother waited tables to support her son, she acquired a passion for music and dance.
Affectionately referred to as Dr. Angelou, the professor never went to college. She has received over 50 honorary degrees and was Reynolds Professor of American Studies at Wake Forest University.
Angelou is famous for saying, “I’ve learned that people will forget what you said, people will forget what you did, but people will never forget how you made them feel.”
Maya Angelou’s birth name was Marguerite Annie Johnson, and she was fluent in 6 languages
Angelou was also named one of the 10 most admired North Carolinians in a recent Elon Poll.
Angelou was born on April 4, 1928, in St. Louis, Missouri. She grew up between St. Louis and the then-racially-segregated Stamps, Arkansas.
The famous poet got into writing after a childhood tragedy that stunned her into silence for almost a decade. When she was 7, her mother’s boyfriend raped her. He was later beaten to death by a mob after she testified against him.
“My 7-and-a-half-year-old logic deduced that my voice had killed him, so I stopped speaking for almost six years,” she said.
From the silence, a louder voice was born.
Her list of friends is as impressive as her illustrious career. Talk show queen Oprah Winfrey referred to her as “sister friend.” She counted Martin Luther King Jr., with whom she worked during the Civil Rights movement, among her friends. King was assassinated on her birthday.
Angelou spoke at least six languages, and worked as a newspaper editor in Egypt and Ghana. During that time, she wrote “I Know Why the Caged Bird Sings,” launching the first in a series of autobiographical books.
“I want to write so well that a person is 30 or 40 pages in a book of mine … before she realizes she’s reading,” she said.
Angelou was also one of the first black women film directors. Her work on Broadway has been nominated for Tony Awards.
Before making it big, the 6-foot-tall wordsmith also worked as a cook and sang with a traveling road show. “Look where we’ve all come from … coming out of darkness, moving toward the light,” she has said. “It is a long journey, but a sweet one, bittersweet.”

The line-up for tonight's (May 26) first Britain's Got Talent live semi-final has been revealed.

Nine acts will go on stage in front of Simon Cowell, David Walliams, Amanda Holden and Alesha Dixon before members of the public vote for their favourite to advance to the live final on Saturday.

The two runners-up will then be at the mercy of the judges, who will decide which act joins the viewers' choice in the grand final.

Micky DumoulinThe checkout worker from Essex could barely contain his emotion after his emotive performance of 'Bring Him Home' from Les Misérables. Simon told Dumoulin that he felt a similar charisma from him as the first time he saw Olly Murs perform.


Darcy Oake
Darcy Oake is a professional magician from Canada who has been doing magic since the age of 10. He received four yeses from the judges after impressing them with his illusions and got a standing ovation from David, Amanda and Alesha. Oake admitted to Digital Spy recently that he has used magic to pick up girls in the past.


CountryViveAlthough the judges were first a bit bemused, CountryVive won them over with their energetic country dancing and got four yeses and a standing ovation. David even described them as "the answer to [their] prayers".

CollabroAlthough this boyband had only been together for a month, they received four yeses for their rendition of 'Stars' from Les Misérables, surprising Simon who admitted that he 'thought it was going to be awful'.

Christian SpridonDavid Walliams caused some uproar when he slammed his golden buzzer for Spridon, who performed Tom Jones's 'Sex Bomb'. The waiter received three buzzes but automatically made it through to the live shows when David came to his rescue.

Henrietta AdewoleMusic student Adewole gave a soulful version of Passenger's 'Let Her Go' in her audition. She impressed each of the judges, with Amanda complimenting her retro tone and Alesha liking the jazzy aspect of the rendition.

Lauren and TerrellBest friends Lauren and Terrell blew the four judges away in their audition with their fast-paced and slick choreography. Despite there only being two of them, David congratulated the pair on managing to fill the stage much more than some of the larger groups. 


Jon CleggImpressionist Clegg managed to make all four judges laugh by incorporating a wide range of impersonations into his act, including Marge Simpson, Alan Carr and even Mr Nasty himself, Simon Cowell. Funny must run in the family blood as Clegg's father had previously appeared on ITV talent show New Faces.


Patsy MayPatsy May caught the attention of the judges after inviting Ant & Dec up on stage to be serenaded as she sang 'Dream a Little Dream'. Simon commented that he could see Patsy sitting in Amanda's judging chair next year.

Happy wedding day! The famous pair exchanged vows in an Italian ceremony Saturday.

Kim Kardashian is officially Mrs. West!

The Hollywood couple tied the knot Saturday in a gorgeous sunset ceremony atop a hill at Fort di Beleverdre in Florence, Italy among family and friends.

The Kardashian sisters, Kourtney, Khloe, Kendall and Kylie served as the 33-year-old brunette beauty's bridesmaids while stepfather Bruce Jenner walked her down the aisle while Andrea Bocelli sang, People magazine reported.

Momager Kris Jenner and Kim's younger brother Rob were also on hand. Celebrity event planner Sharon Sacks was the mastermind behind  the lavish affair while a pastor from North Miami, Rich Wilkerson Jr. officiated, the mag added.

UCSB Shooting Suspect Is Son of ‘Hunger Games’ Second Unit Director

The young man who killed six people and injured seven others near UC Santa Barbara following multiple drive-by shootings was the son of filmmaker Peter Rodger, a second unit director on the first “Hunger Games” movie.
ABC News confirmed that an attorney for Peter Rodger said that his 22-year-old son Elliot Rodger was involved in the shooting.
Elliot, who was found with a gunshot wound and a semi-automatic handgun inside his vehicle, was among the dead on Friday night.
The Santa Barbara County Sheriff’s office said it’s unclear whether he took his own life or was shot during two different gunfights with deputies. The suspect fled following the armed confrontation and crashed his black BMW into a parked car on Del Playa Drive.
The shooting spree started before 9:27 p.m. in the campus town of Isla Vista. The suspect shot at passerby at nine different locations in I.V. during a 10-minute time span.
Police now believe that the murderous rampage was a premeditated attack after investigating a video Elliot posted on YouTube on Friday in which he threatened violence on the area.
“I’ll take great pleasure in slaughtering all of you, you’ll finally see that I’m, in truth, the superior one, the true alpha male,” he said in the video. “After I’ve annihilated every single girl in the sorority house, I’ll take to the streets of Isla Vista and slay every single person I see there.”
He is believed to have been a student at Santa Barbara City College.
Peter Rodger also wrote, directed, produced and shot the 2009 documentary “Oh My God” that screened at the Cannes Film Festival.

Thanks to the BBC’s “Doctor WhoTwitter feed, we have our first official look at season eight, starring Peter Capaldi as the newly regenerated Doctor.

The British network tweeted out the announcement that the newest incarnation of the legendary time-traveler will make his debut in August, while BBC America released a tantalizing 15-second teaser that indicates U.S. fans won’t have to wait for the Time Lord’s return. The previous two seasons of “Doctor Who” have aired day-and-date in the U.S., U.K. and Canada, and this is likely to be the case for season eight, although an exact premiere date has yet to be announced.

The first police officer at the scene of Tupac Shakur's 1996 drive-by murder has revealed the last words spoken by the late rap legend. And they're not exactly peaceful.
"He looked at me, and he took a breath to get the words out, and he opened his mouth," says Chris Carroll, a retired sergeant with the Las Vegas Metropolitan Police Department, in a new feature with Vegas Seven. "And then the words came out: ‘Fuck you.’"

Shakur was shot multiple times on September 7th, 1996. After leaving a boxing match with former Death Row Records CEO Suge Knight, the rapper and his bodyguards got into a scuffle with 21-year-old Crips gang member Orlando Anderson in the lobby of the MGM Grand casino. Carroll, who worked with the city's bike patrol unit, had also been watching the same Mike Tyson fight, but was unaware of the brawl taking place in the lobby.
Later, a white Cadillac pulled up beside Knight and Shakur while they were stopped at a traffic light and one man began shooting out of the back window. Carroll was the first officer to respond to the grisly scene.
"I grab the car door and I’m trying to open it, but I can’t get it open," he says. "[Knight] keeps coming up on my back, so I’m pointing my gun at him. I’m pointing it at the car. I’m yelling, ‘You guys lay down! And you, get the fuck away from me!’ And every time I’d point the gun at him, he’d back off and even lift his hands up, like ‘All right! All right!’ So I’d go back to the car, and here he comes again. I’m like, ‘Fucker, back off!’ This guy is huge, and the whole time he’s running around at the scene, he’s gushing blood from his head. Gushing blood! I mean the guy had clearly been hit in the head, but he had all his faculties. I couldn’t believe he was running around and doing what he was doing, yelling back and forth."
Carroll says when he finally was able to open the door, Shakur's limp body fell out of the vehicle, "like he was leaning against the door."
"So I grabbed him with my left arm, and he falls into me, and I’ve still got my gun in the other hand," he continues. "He’s covered with blood, and I immediately notice that the guy’s got a ton of gold on – a necklace and other jewelry – and all of the gold is covered in blood. That has always left an image in my mind. . . After I pulled him out, Suge starts yelling at him, ‘Pac! Pac!’ And he just keeps yelling it. And the guy I’m holding is trying to yell back at him. He’s sitting up and he’s struggling to get the words out, but he can’t really do it. And as Suge is yelling ‘Pac!,’ I look down and I realize that this is Tupac Shakur."
Carroll says he attempted to get a "dying declaration" of a potential suspect from Shakur, but the rapper was ignoring him at first.
"And then I saw in his face, in his movements, all of a sudden in the snap of a finger, he changed," he says. "And he went from struggling to speak, being noncooperative, to an ‘I’m at peace’ type of thing. Just like that. . . He went from fighting to ‘I can’t do it.’ And when he made that transition, he looked at me, and he’s looking right in my eyes. And that’s when I looked at him and said one more time, ‘Who shot you?’. . . He looked at me and he took a breath to get the words out, and he opened his mouth, and I thought I was actually going to get some cooperation. And then the words came out: ‘Fuck you.’ After that, he started gurgling and slipping out of consciousness."
So why is Carroll coming forward with with information in 2014? Two reasons: Retiring from the Metro has allowed him the freedom to speak about the homicide case without being reprimanded ("It's been almost 18 years," he says. There's clearly never going to be a court case on this."), and he also didn't want "Tupac to be a martyr or a hero because he told the cops 'Fuck you.'"
Carroll says Shakur never spoke another word – remaining silent even when another officer tried to draw out a declaration in the ambulance.
“As soon as he got to the hospital, he went into surgery and was heavily sedated, and I guess he went into a coma and really never came out of that, until they took him off of life support," he continues. "So that moment I talked to him was his last real living moment where he was speaking. I talked to the cop who rode in the ambulance with him. He said Tupac never came out of it, and he never said anything at the hospital. There was nothing else.”

Where were you on Fri., Dec. 13, 2013 at midnight? Don't say sleeping, because you're lying. You were posted up in front of your computer on iTunes purchasing Beyonce Giselle Knowles-Carter's self-titled opus and you know it. King Bey dropped 'Beyonce' and not a single member of the Bey Hive knew beforehand. It was perhaps the boldest, Beyonce-est move in music history, as the songstress delivered a sexually-charged independent release as a middle finger to her label for not supporting her new musical pursuits.
While some artists in a lesser tax bracket may randomly drop "free albums" (we call them mixtapes, right?) at random, no one has done what Beyonce did when she delivered a surprise album without a gigantic promotional vehicle. This new rule that albums will unexpectedly fall from the sky is reserved for the Kings who know they'll still profit, despite what Beyonce said on 'Ghost' with, "Soul not for sale / Probably won't make no money off this, oh well." You know what that means: Azealia Banks, don't try this at home.
 
Many years ago, the worst nightmare for an artist would be the release of a sex tape, a nude photo or some sort of past endeavor that they did for money and wished they hadn't. Nowadays, it's unearthing past tweets. Even present ones for that matter. If you put it out on Twitter, consider it etched in stone. Know why? Because someone out there is randomly taking screenshots of that tweet to use at a later time, regardless of whether or not you delete what you wrote.
Take Macklemore, who just swept the 2014 Grammy Awards and won the hearts of Americans through the song 'Same Love,' which came equipped with same sex marriages (officiated by Queen Latifah) when he performed the song live at the ceremony. However, a 2009 tweet from the indie powerhouse showed his overzealous usage of "no homo," which had the LGBT community in an uproar. Your thoughts and ideals can change. Sure. But be careful what you tweet when you tweet it, because five years later, you may be reminded of the skeletons in your cyber closet.
Hey websites, ever been sued over a photo? Not pretty right? Not cheap either. Photo copyright infringement is almost as "dangerous" as sampling a song without clearance. Major professional photo banks like Getty Images were (and still are) a viable means of obtaining press photos of celebrities, in addition to photos from the celeb's publicist or managament. Not anymore. With artists and actors taking photos of everything from their faces to their food on Instagram, a whole well of flicks are at our disposal. Some people use Instagram more than others. Singers like Rihanna and Beyonce always have a steady stream of photos to check out, along with Miley Cyrus (and her tongue). On the rap front, Rick Ross always has some lovely photos to offer, as does French Montana (he even shared an Instagram photo of himself getting arrested). If you need Kanye West photos, though, head over to Kim Kardashian's Instagram page.
 
Reebok is another stickler. Last year, when Rick Ross uttered some sketchy bars on Rocko's 'U.O.E.N.O.' that suggested he was condoning rape, Reebok pulled his sponsorship right from under his large frame. Lil Wayne's Emmett Till line in Future's 'Karate Chop' remix left him without any more free Mountain Dew to drink. So you see, sponsors watch you like a potential employer does your Facebook page. Keep your brand squeaky clean, especially when you're paid to represent another one.

We’ve got a good feeling about this year’s Big Brother. Not only is the theme 'power trip' – but Emma Willis and Rylan Clark are searching for nasty and ruthless housemates.

In fact, they are sick of nice, eager to please contestants - they want housemates ready to plot and scheme their way to victory. We have to agree, the bad ones are always so much more entertaining.

As for that power trip theme… as we previously reported, both housemates and us viewers at home will have the chance to seize power. We also suspect that BB will be on a bit of a power trip this year, which can’t be good news for the housemates but should make for excellent TV.
