After suffering from a cardiac arrest on the pitch during the football match between Bolton Wanderers and Tottenham in early 2012, Fabrice Muamba is back! He has been rehearsing with professional partner Aliona for Strictly Come Dancing's Christmas special.

Fabrice who is only 24 collapsed on the football pitch during FA cup match in March 2012 and his heart stopped for 78 minutes.

Muamba is now a retired footballer, who has been paired with professional dancer Aliona Vilani, 28. The Strictly Christmas special is his first challenge but he seems to be relishing the opportunity to learn some new skills.

Muamba and Aliona have so far been practising for a week and are said to be coping well. Despite the cardiac arrest and the ongoing recovery process, the ex footballer is excited to be involved in the show. He is a big fan of Strictly and can't wait to get on the show.
