Thanks to the BBC’s “Doctor Who” Twitter feed, we have our first official look at season eight, starring Peter Capaldi as the newly regenerated Doctor.
The British network tweeted out the announcement that the newest incarnation of the legendary time-traveler will make his debut in August, while BBC America released a tantalizing 15-second teaser that indicates U.S. fans won’t have to wait for the Time Lord’s return. The previous two seasons of “Doctor Who” have aired day-and-date in the U.S., U.K. and Canada, and this is likely to be the case for season eight, although an exact premiere date has yet to be announced.
