EastEnders Lucy Beale murder recap: Reaction, gossip and suspect theories as soap character is killed
The day we all wanted to come - well everyone except Ian Beale and those who care for his daughter Lucy - is finally here.
We've talked about it at length, tried to predict the murderer and now BBC One viewers will finally see Lucy Beale, played by Hetti Bywater's final scenes.
Tonight from 8pm, we're in for some classic soap shenanigans as Walford plays host to a classic whodunit.
Strap yourselves in, because one of soap’s biggest murder plots is about to begin.
The story will come to a climax on the BBC soap this evening when Lucy receives a cryptic email, heading off to the mystery meeting alone.
Her body will then be discovered when it is dumped on Walford Common, as harrowing scenes show her family’s heartache at the news.
This comes after a secret affair with Max Branning, a fling with Lee Carter and a family fallout involving a stash of cocaine, leaving countless suspects.
We’ve got our theories on who is guilty of her murder, but let us know who you think it is by tweeting @MirrorTV.

Eastenders’ Who Killed Lucy Beale trailer is brilliant but it will also give you nightmares

Eastenders has unveiled a terrifying trailer to kick off the hunt for Lucy Beale’s killer.
Every single Albert Square resident looked like a sinister killer in the brief clip, which also highlighted a few prime suspects.

Denise, Ian, Lauren, Max, Jane and Peter all pop up seeming to get rid of evidence which could connect them to Lucy’s death.
What is really creepy though is the slow, unexpected way each character’s eyes swivel to look directly into the camera as though you’ve caught them in the act. Spooky.

Other characters, including Mick, Sharon, and even Dot, are then seen standing outside the Queen Vic, serving as a reminder that Lucy’s murderer really could be anyone.
The storyline is set to play out until February next year as Ian Beale uncovers more and more secrets about his daughter.
