It's official: Jack White has beat the record for the world's fastest released record.

At 10 a.m. CST on Record Store Day (April 19), White walked onto the stage in front of a small crowd in the Blue Room at Third Man's Nashville studio to record a limited edition 7-inch of the title track from his forthcoming album, "Lazaretto," due June 10 on Third Man Records/Columbia.
From there, the masters were rushed to United Record Pressing, which immediately began pressing the 45s. The sleeves were printed from pictures taken at the intimate show. The finished records were personally escorted by White to Third Man to sell to awaiting fans. The whole process took 3 hours, 55 minutes and 21 seconds, according to a tweet from Third Man Records, the label founded by White.

Third Man will be tweeting a recap video of White's record-breaking achievement later today, according to a spokesperson for the artist. In the meantime, check out more photos at the label's Instagram page.

The previous Guinness World Record holder for the fastest album release belonged to Swiss accordion trio Vollgas Kompanie, which released a live album on Aug. 16 one day after recording it, according to Rolling Stone.

As if that weren't enough excitement, Whirlwind Heat appeared at Third Man to play its first live show since 2006 (and likely the group's last ever), as its classic "Do Rabbits Wonder?" LP is reissued on a variety of colored vinyl for Record Store Day.
