CBS’ “How I Met Your Dad” pilot has found a … mother.

“Sleepless in Seattle’s” Meg Ryan will narrate the story of the “How I Met Your Mother” spinoff, a la Bob Saget’s involvement in the original.

Greta Gerwig has already been tapped to star in the project as Sally, a woman with Peter Pan syndrome who is trapped in a restless marriage. “Masters of Sex’s” Nick D’Agosto, “Mixology’s” Andrew Santino, “Animal Practice’s” Drew Tarver and “The Crazy Ones’” Tiya Sircar have also been cast.

The pilot, from 20th Century Fox TV, was written by “Modern Family’s” Emily Spivey and “HIMYM” co-creators Carter Bays and Craig Thomas. They are exec producing with Pam Fryman, who will direct the pilot.

Ryan, whose credits include guest starring on Lisa Kudrow’s “Web Therapy,” is also developing an NBC pilot with Marc Lawrence and manager Jane Berliner. She is repped by ICM, Authentic Talent and Slate PR.

CBS and 20th Century Fox TV declined to comment on the casting.
