CHANNING TATUM CONFIRMED TO PLAY GAMBIT IN X-MEN MOVIES

BREAKING NEWS : Channing Tatum Confirmed to be Playing Gambit!

Donner has now confirmed that Tatum has signed up for a future project, telling Total Film: "It is Channing."

Explaining why Tatum has been selected, she said: "He's a rogue, he's a rascal, just like Remy LeBeau.

"He can handle the action, as we know, and he's got a real good heart, I know him personally."

She added: "He'll be great for Gambit, and he's a southerner too, he understands that world, and you know Gambit loves New Orleans."


Tatum previously expressed interest in the role, telling MTV: "I met with Lauren Shuler Donner. And I would love it. Gambit is really the only X-Man I've ever loved.

"I mean I've loved them all, they're all great, but I guess from being down south - my dad's from Louisiana, I'm from Mississippi, Alabama, Florida - I don't know. I just related to him."

X-Men: Days of Future Past will arrive in UK cinemas on May 22 and in the US on May 23. Watch a trailer below:

While the Batman-Superman movie is still two years away from hitting theaters, director Zack Snyder has posted the first look of Ben Affleck as the Dark Knight standing next to his new Batmobile.

The Batmobile is somewhat obscured by Affleck but the image gives fans a chance to debate how the new suit compares to past costumes. The Batsuit has always been a divisive feature of every Batman pic – especially since George Clooney’s costume in “Batman and Robin,” which came complete with the now-infamous “Batnipples” and gave fans an advanced hint that the production might be troubled.

The Batman-Superman film co-stars Henry Cavill (Superman) and Gal Gadot (Wonder Woman) and begins filming this summer in Detroit.

Batman-Superman opens in U.S. theaters May 6, 2016.

Wolverine may be one of the most famous faces in Marvel’s X-Men, but he’s not going to survive the experience. In September, the comic book publisher will be killing off everyone’s favorite angry mutant in a four-issue mini-series appropriately titled “Death of Wolverine.”

As just revealed over at Entertainment Weekly, the series follows up on recent events in the character’s life: he’s lost his mutant healing factor, and over the summer will get involved in an arc called “3 Months To Die.” The logical conclusion of that arc? Death.

The series will be written by Charles Soule, who currently works on a number of titles for the publisher including “She-Hulk” and the recently launched “Inhuman.” It’ll be drawn by Steve McNiven, who previously took on a decidedly different end for the Canuck when he worked with writer Mark Miller (“Kick-Ass”) on “Old Man Logan.” That series posited a future where pretty much every superhero had died, while Wolverine had taken a Clint Eastwood style vow of non-violence.

So how’s Wolverine going to go out? It’s unclear at this point, though Editor Mike Marts said that, “he finally comes up against an adversary he cannot win against, he cannot fight.”
Given that Wolverine is going up against his arch-nemesis Sabretooth in the current comic, it’s entirely possible that’s the bad guy Wolvie can’t win against. However, given the following statement from Soule, it’s possible things may go a different way.

“He’s reflecting on his own life as he’s reflecting on his own death,” Soule said. “We wanted to have the reader do that at the same time.”

You wouldn’t expect that Wolverine would have time to fondly reflect on his adventures during a pitched battle, so maybe instead, with the loss of his healing factor, he succumbs to a far more mortal disease? The guy certainly knows how to punish his body; so while it might not be dramatically satisfying for fans of the violence-prone character to go out in a hospital bed, it would certainly tie into the statements above.

Whatever happens — and however he returns — at least for a little while, Marts says we’ll be in a “world without Wolverine. That affects not only his teammates, but the Marvel Universe at large.”
“Death of Wolverine” hits stores on September 3, with the final issue hitting on September 24.

‘Why am I crying on Oprah?’: Pharrell Williams cries tears of joy while watching glbal fans dance to Happy during interview

He may have written the happiest song of the year, but Pharrell Williams was reduced to tears during his interview with Oprah Winfrey.
The Happy singer sat down with the talk show host for an upcoming episode of Oprah Prime on her OWN Network, and was moved by a video shown to him of people dancing to his chart-topping song.
‘Why am I crying on Oprah?’ Pharrell said through tears as he was overcome with emotion.‘It’s overwhelming because I love what I do and I just appreciate the fact that people have believed in me for so long that I could make it to this point, and feel, to feel that.’



With some encouraging words from Oprah, Pharrell, 41, was also shown some pictures from his childhood.
During the interview, Williams – wearing one of his many distinctive Vivienne Westwood hats - discussed his rise to fame, his song-writing process and the music that influenced him to become a seven-time Grammy winning recording artist and producer.


‘My best songs come from two different ways,’ he says. ‘Either when I have a really good gut feeling about something, it's written in the shower or on a plane.’
‘Shower's good, isn't it?’ Oprah says. ‘There's something about the water.’
‘The water attracts your ear,’ he says. ‘You get distracted, and your mind wanders.’
But for his Despicable Me 2 song, Pharrell called it a ‘crazy, half-court shot.’


‘It's not because you're that good,’ Williams says. ‘It's because you're out of ideas.'
The interview also saw Pharrell talk about his critically-acclaimed new album ‘G I R L’, and his wedding last year to model and designer Helen Lasichanh.

But over the weekend, he was in Indio, California to perform at Coachella 2014, where he reminded the audience of just how many hit songs he’s been behind.


P Coachella 1 by YardieGoalsHe brought out Nelly for Hot In Herre, Snoop Dogg for Drop It Like It’s Hot, Gwen Stefani for Hollaback Girl, and Busta Rhymes for Pass The Courvoisier.
Some of the tracks were produced by Williams and Chad Hugo who made up the record production duo The Neptunes.
But Pharrell wasn’t too happy with the dust and wind experienced at Coachella as he told the packed crowd, ‘I wanted this s*** to be so much hotter but the dust and this f***ing wind…,’ according to The Guardian.
