Take That's Jason Orange quits; band-mates say it's a huge loss

Jason Orange has announced he's left Take That and will not be recording a new album with the band.

In a statement, he said there had been "no fallings out" and had "spent some of the best years" of his life with them.
However, he did not want to commit to making and promoting a new record.
The band formed in 1990, split up in 1996 and then reformed for a successful comeback in 2005.
Orange's band-mates, Gary Barlow, Howard Donald and Mark Owen, said his departure was "a huge loss".
His statement read: "I want to start by saying how proud I am of what we have achieved together over the years.
"However, at a band meeting last week I confirmed to Mark, Gary and Howard that I do not wish to commit to recording and promoting a new album."
He's also thanked his fans, calling them "beautiful and ever-loyal".


A joint statement from the remaining band-mates said: "We first became aware of Jason's reservations a couple of years ago but had hoped that by giving him the desired time and space he may begin to feel differently.
"This has not been the case and we now have to accept and fully respect his decision which we know hasn't been an easy one."
After they got back together, the band were briefly rejoined by Robbie Williams for the 2010 album Progress.
Orange said: "I know how much Mark, Gary and Howard enjoy writing and making music.
"They know that they have my full support and encouragement to continue on with what is to be another chapter for the band."

  Brad Pitt and Angelina Jolie tied the knot in an intimate ceremony at a small chapel on the grounds of Chateau Mirval, France, a spokesperson confirmed today.
  Watched on by only 22 people, including their brood of six children, Brad, 50, and Angelina, 39, said I Do on Saturday as a source told E News! the actress walked down the aisle in a white dress which was 'very traditional, but very Angie, it was comfortable but plain white floor-length antique lace and silk.'
  While the designer of the gown is still unknown, the website claims the star 'definitely wore something that once belonged to [her late mother] Marcheline Bertrand.
  And a source today told MailOnline how the couple decided to marry at the stunning estate they bought in 2011 after Angelina made a promise to wed in France to her mother - and also to commemorate the 10-year anniversary of the filming of Mr & Mrs Smith, where they met and fell in love.

It's been 10 years since they met on the set of Mr & Mrs Smith and on Saturday August 23, 2014, Brad Pitt and Angelina Jolie finally tied the knot.

The A-list couple secretly married at Château Miraval in France with their six children, Maddox, 13, Pax, 11, Zahara, nine, Shiloh, eight, and six-year-old twins Knox and Vivienne, the guests of honour.

Now, as they begin married life by jetting to Malta to start shooting By The Sea, their first movie together in a decade, MailOnline takes a look back at one of Hollywood's greatest romances.

THE VENUE: CHATEAU MIRAVAL

 

The couple bought their lavish 35-bedroom estate, Chateau Miraval, in 2011 for an eye-watering $60million.

The sprawling property is where Brad proposed to Angelina in early 2012, and where the family reportedly vacationed following the actress' double mastectomy.

The couple's six-year-old twins, Knox and Vivienne, also have ties to the region, as they were born in nearby Nice.

Tom Bove owned Chateau Miraval from 1992 to 2011 started leasing the property to the couple in 2008 before buying it from him.

Now he lives about 30 minutes away and continues to distribute the wine produced at their vineyard.

Tom painted an exclusive picture for E! News of what the A-listers' nuptials could look like.

‘Miraval is absolutely incredible. It is two kilometres from the road to the home and then another two kilometres to the other end of the property,' Tom said.

Oscar-winning British film director Richard Attenborough has died at the age of 90, his son has said.

Lord Attenborough was one of Britain's leading actors, before becoming a highly successful director.

In a career that spanned six decades, he appeared in films including Brighton Rock, World War Two prisoner of war thriller The Great Escape and later in dinosaur blockbuster Jurassic Park.

As a director he was perhaps best known for Gandhi, which won him two Oscars.

Lord Attenborough had been in a nursing home with his wife for a number of years, BBC arts editor Will Gompertz said.

He had also been in a wheelchair since falling down stairs six years ago, our correspondent added.

Hi son told the BBC Lord Attenborough died at lunchtime on Sunday.

His family is expected to make a full statement tomorrow.

Prime Minister David Cameron tweeted: "His acting in "Brighton Rock" was brilliant, his directing of "Gandhi" was stunning - Richard Attenborough was one of the greats of cinema."

Along with his naturalist brother David, Lord Attenborough was one of Britain's best-known screen celebrities.

He started acting at the age of just 12, making his professional stage debut aged 18.

He was appointed a CBE in 1967 and knighted just nine years later in 1976.

He was made a life peer in 1993.

Is Shia LaBeouf “Sorry” or just plain sorry?
On Thursday night, the 28 year-old actor was arrested at the Broadway musical “Cabaret” in New York for raucous behavior.
He was booked and charged with two counts of disorderly conduct and one count of criminal trespassing.
According to police, the “Transformers” actor was smoking inside the Studio 54 theater and acting “loud and disruptive” during the first act of the Tony-nominated musical, which stars Michelle Williams and Alan Cumming. Law enforcement officials were notified and handcuffed the actor during intermission, escorting him out of the venue.
Tony-nominee Benj Pasek tweeted that he saw LaBeouf crying outside Studio 54 as he spoke to the arresting officers.
LaBeouf, who recently starred in Lars von Trier’s “Nymphomaniac,” made headlines in February for his odd behavior at the Berlin Film Festival, where he wore a paper bag over his head featuring the words “I’m Not Famous Anymore.” The red carpet incident was accompanied by an art installation in L.A. dubbed #IAmSorry. It referred to his plagiarized short film which got him in hot water with a comic book writer, spurring several apologetic tweets and sky-writings over Los Angeles.
Whether the “Cabaret” incident was part of LaBeouf’s “#IAmSorry” campaign is unclear but according to CBS2 in New York, two witnesses saw LaBeouf before the show looking distraught in a ripped shirt a block away from the theater. They said LaBeouf was chasing after a man who appeared to be homeless.
“Honestly, I wasn’t thinking of drunk or drugs,” one of the witnesses said. “I was thinking he was working on a role, because it was that extreme.”

US actor and comedian Tracy Morgan has been left in a critical condition after the limousine he was travelling overturned during a multi-vehicle pileup.

Police said the limousine crashed into five other vehicles on the New Jersey Turnpike at around 1am local time.
The 45-year-old 30 Rock star is being treated at the Robert Wood Johnson University Hospital Centre in New Brunswick, New Jersey.
Sgt Gregory Williams told Sky News that one other passenger in the limousine was killed.
He said their next of kin had been notified.
The condition of the vehicle's five other passengers is currently unknown.
There is no word on what caused the accident, which also involved two tractor-trailers, a SUV and two cars.
Tracy Morgan found fame on the sketch-comedy show Saturday Night Live in 1996.
He went on to play Tracy Jordan, a caricature of himself, on the hit show 30 Rock.
It was created by his Saturday Night Live co-star Tina Fey.

George Michael's recent medical problems

George Michael has suffered a series of medical problems since 2011.
The singer, 50, has been out of the spotlight since last year, when he fell out of a car on the M1 motorway and was airlifted to hospital with a head injury.
In 2011 he suffered severe pneumonia which left him temporarily in a coma and meant he needed to undergo a tracheotomy in order to breathe.
He has also battled depression and drug addiction.

Jay Z was ferociously assaulted by Beyonce's sister Solange  ... who was wildly kicking and swinging at him inside an elevator ... and the attack was captured on surveillance video ... obtained by TMZ.

According to our sources, it all went down at a Met Gala after party last week at the Standard Hotel in NYC.  In the video ... Jay Z, Beyonce and Solange step into the elevator ... and then Solange goes crazy, screaming at Jay before unleashing a violent attack.

A large man -- who appears to be a bodyguard -- attempts to hold Solange back, but she manages to connect at least 3 times.  At one point Solange throws a kick and Jay grabs her foot, but never attempts to strike her.  Beyonce stands by without getting physically involved.

It's unclear what triggered the fight.

And this is interesting.  When you look closely, you see the bodyguard hit the emergency stop switch on the 12th floor -- mid fight -- presumably to keep the fight private.

All three walked out of the building together -- Solange looks pissed -- but while Bey and Solange get in one car ... security walks Jay to a different one.
