It’s been well over a few years since Missy Elliot debuted an album. In 2005,  she released The Cookbook and since then Missy has been off the rap radar. Earlier this year Missy appeared on  Yahoo!’s “The Yo Show” and hinted at new material she also made an appearance at this year’s BET Awards. According to Timbaland, she’s been cooking up her 7th studio album, Block Party. In an interview with Rolling Stone, Timbo dishes on the album’s status and how him and Missy work together.
“It’s coming,” he said about the album. “It’s on her. She got the first single, it’s just a matter of when she wants to do it. We got the hollow-tip bullet in the gun. We have the game-changer right there.”
Tim also revealed something really interesting about how Missy records and admits that the two have always worked this way.
“I’ve never watched her record, never in my whole career,” Timbaland admitted. “I do it, she be like, ‘OK, I got it,’ and I leave the room. She kicks us out. That’s how she do it: She does everything herself.”
Speaking on the album’s sound Tim said,  ”It’s something you ain’t never heard Missy do. It sounds today, but the future.” Coming from Tim, this sounds promising but we’ll keep you updated as more information becomes available.
Deniqua is focusing on LAL (Life After Lebron) however, she’s glad Wade decided to stay with Miami. You can find her on Twitter (@__hennystraight) possibly looking to replace her Miami Heat header.

ORLANDO BLOOM THROWS PUNCH AFTER MIRANDA KERR TAUNT!

Orlando Bloom throws punch at Bieber after Miranda Kerr taunt

Orlando Bloom and Justin Bieber got into a heated altercation at Cipriani in Ibiza, Spain, early Wednesday morning, sources said. After getting in each other’s faces—Bloom threw a punch at the pop star—the crowd cheered.
Sources told Page Six that Bloom took a swing at Bieber after the singer, 20, made a rude comment about Bloom’s ex, Miranda Kerr. But a source close to Bieber insisted that the comment was only made after Bloom took a swing, and missed.

The bad blood between the two began in 2012 when Bieber was seen getting flirty with Kerr after a Victoria’s Secret fashion show, which reportedly led to tension between the model and her Hollywood star husband, Bloom. The married couple then separated in October 2013.

Then newly single Bloom was seen spending time with Bieber’s ex-girlfriend, Selena Gomez, in April.
Bloom and Bieber, meantime, were spotted early Wednesday morning at the Ibiza hotspot among a starry crowd, including Paris Hilton, Lindsay Lohan and Diddy.
“Justin was at one table, and Orlando was at another,” a source told us. “But when Bieber and his party were later walking past Bloom’s table, Orlando refused to shake Bieber’s hand.” Then, “Bieber said something rude to Orlando, like, ‘She was good.'”
Another source close to Bieber countered that the pop star didn’t make any rude comment and that, “Justin didn’t even know Orlando was there. But when they saw each other, it was Orlando who was just being an a-hole to Justin.”
Either way, when the stars’ paths crossed, there was a heated exchange.
“They got in each other’s faces and there were words,” a source said. “But they were separated by their entourages.”
A witness captured 30 seconds of the confrontation on video and posted video to Facebook. It shows Bloom walking away from Bieber and being separated by a crowd, but then turning back to walk to Bieber and confront him.

“When they were back together again, Orlando threw a punch at Bieber,” said a source. “He just tried to pop him! The whole place cheered.”
A source close to Bieber said that Bloom’s punch missed. “There was no contact,” the source said. “He missed. Then there was some ‘tough-guy shoving,’ and they were separated.”
But another source told us that in the brief melee, witnesses thought they saw Bloom’s punch connect. “The punch definitely connected,” a source told us. “People saw it. That’s why everyone cheered.”
Bieber can reportedly be heard in the video of the incident, yelling, “What’s up bitch?” to Bloom. A source said that Bieber also said, “Say hi to her,” as the two were separated after the punch.
Then, “Justin hung out for a while and left.”

  • Burden rose to fame after he was a finalist on UK's Masterchef in 1993
  • He later made regular appearances on the show and Ready Steady Cook
  • Recently returned to New Zealand, where he was judge on Masterchef
  • Fellow celebrity chefs and TV personalities pay tribute to 'real character'

  • Celebrity chef Ross Burden who rose to fame after appearing on MasterChef and Ready Steady Cook has died aged 45.
The TV cook, who became a household name in the UK after becoming a finalist on MasterChef in 1993, died on July 17 in his home nation following a battle with cancer.
The New Zealand-born popular chef was diagnosed with a form of leukemia in July last year and had contracted an infection after undergoing a bone marrow transplant recently.

His sister Kirsten Hughes told the New Zealand Herald her brother's death was sudden and unexpected.
Mrs Hughes, who described her sibling as a 'larger than life' figure said Ross had just one paper left to complete his Masters degree in Maori studies at Auckland University.
'He's just a friendly, compassionate guy - nothing was too much trouble. He was my big, fantastic incredible, larger-than-life brother.
'Right up until probably a week-and-a-half ago, he was making his next lot of plans. He had the world map out,' Mrs Hughes said.

Fellow TV stars and celebrity chefs took to Twitter to pay tribute to Burden after his death was announced.
James Martin tweeted: 'Just heard the sad news my old Ready, Steady, Cook colleague Ross Burden has passed away. My thoughts go out to friends and family. RIP Ross'
Phil Vickery added: 'Very sad news my friend and fellow chef Ross Burden died today!
Aldo Zilli wrote: 'Remembering the good times on this very sad day for the Ross Burden family my thoughts are with you.'

And Paul Hollywood posted: 'I'm so sorry to hear the news that Ross Burden has died.. appearing for years in Ready, Steady Cook, my thoughts are with his family x'

Burden became a hit with audiences in the UK thanks to his good looks, likeable personality and talent in the kitchen.
An amateur chef, he made it though to the finals of MasterChef in 1993, although he didn't win.
It didn't seem to matter though, as the New Zealander's profile quickly rose and he began landing many gigs including appearances on Ready Steady Cook, a show he was involved with for a decade.
Burden also published several recipe books with fellow star Ainsley Harriott as well as running his own catering company. He cooked for Princess Anne and actress Joan Collins among other A-listers.
Mr Harriott told MailOnline: 'I'm very sad to hear about Ross's passing. We had some great times on Ready, Steady, Cook over the years. He certainly was quite a character and also a highly intelligent man. We'll all miss him.'

His good looks saw him named as one of the UK's most eligible bachelors and 'Britain's tastiest bachelors'. He later came out as gay.

He was an early champion of the importance of using seasonal produce in recipes and his love of nature led him to become a passionate supporter of the World Wildlife Fund for Nature.
In 2010 he left the UK to return to New Zealand where he became a judge on the local version of MasterChef.
After returning to his home country he also worked as a waiter at Auckland restaurant Sails, telling the New Zealand Herald at the time that he wanted to research the food scene after living abroad for almost two decades.
He is survived by his mother Anne, his sister Kirsten and extended family.

EVERYTHING YOU NEED TO KNOW ABOUT THE VOICE OVER BUSINESS

4 Reasons to Join the Voiceover Business and Use Voices.com

Courtesy of Backstage Briana Rodriguez: http://www.backstage.com/advice-for-actors/inside-job/4-reasons-join-voiceover-business-and-use-voicescom/?utm_campaign=Expert%20Posts&utm_content=6844798&utm_medium=social&utm_source=facebook

Stephanie Ciccarelli started the online voiceover talent marketplace a decade ago with her husband, David Ciccarelli. She currently shapes brand interaction and manages content to reach the Voices.com audience.

What should actors know about the voiceover business?
You don’t have to go the traditional route. [Voices.com] is a great opportunity for actors to get in front of a new audience, especially if they don’t have agency representation. There’s a huge variety of work with us—you can be doing readings for audio books or telephone or national radio and television. And every job that’s posted has to pay a minimum of $100.

    Why should actors use Voices.com?
They can be their own agent; they can go after opportunities that they feel are best for them. So if a client posts a job and [the actor’s] profile matches the criteria, they’re invited to audition for the job. It’s the talent’s discretion to decide whether or not they feel they’re the right fit by doing a little bit of self-analysis; in that way, we train them to think like their own agent.

What do voiceover actors need to succeed?
To be artistically talented, understand your instrument, and have [your voice] trained. Next is understanding the technology. You have to have a home recording studio and [start] using the latest software—have a good microphone and studio setup. Build a brand and market yourself and understand the ecosystem. The greatest challenge is not understanding who works with whom.

    What else should actors know?
The whole purpose of the site is to listen to someone’s voice, so if you do not have an audio sample uploaded on your profile, you will not be found in the search engine. If you can’t be heard, there’s really no reason for us to present you as a result. We also have a way for the talent—and this is internal information so we know how to communicate with them—to say whether they perceive themselves to be beginners or someone who’s a professional so we can help them with resources and know to speak to them in different ways to meet their needs.

What’s been the biggest recent addition to Voices.com?
Launching of our Spanish website, so now all of our customers who speak Latin American Spanish can access the website in their own language, which has been huge. We do the majority of our business with the United States, and being based in Canada, we knew that Spanish was our priority. The next language we’d be going into is French, and then after that, going into a series of other languages. We’re basically setting up a multilingual platform so it’ll be easier from here on out.

THE COMMONWEALTH GAMES 2014 OPENING CEREMONY

    GLASGOW 2014

    Courtesy of : http://www.hulldailymail.co.uk/Commonwealth-Games-2014-time-opening-ceremony/story-21741121-detail/story.html

The build-up to the Commonwealth Games has been almost as exhausting as taking part.
For months we've been told it's on its way and that it's going to be fantastic – well, at long last, it's time for Glasgow to put its money where its mouth is and prove that anything London can do, it can at least match.
Following the success of the Olympics in 2012, the city certainly has a lot to live up to, but Clare Balding, who will be on presenting duties for the BBC throughout the event, thinks Glasgow will do Scotland proud.

“It's amazing how much people are still talking about London 2012 and when they start talking about it they smile,” says Balding. “It makes them feel warm inside and I think it showed the best of us as a country.
“I know that Glasgow will do the same, and the Scottish welcome will be warm and generous and enthusiastic. I just think it is a very good reflection of our ability to organise major events and stage them with humour and a great appreciation of entertainment value, and to do so efficiently and always with the athlete in mind.”
She will present coverage of the opening ceremony at Celtic Park alongside Gary Lineker and Hazel Irvine; Irvine also provides the commentary with Huw Edwards.
The Queen’s Baton Relay ends here, and 3,000 volunteers take part in what promises to be a spectacular show. Competitors from 71 nations enter the arena in the Parade of Athletes before the Queen herself officially declares the Games open.
Will she arrive by helicopter with James Bond, as she did during the Olympics? Well, we'll have to wait and see.
Although most of the action takes place in Glasgow, the diving is being held in Edinburgh, which has hosted the Games twice in the past. One person hoping to make a big splash there this time is Tom Daley.
“He'll be defending his title,” explains Balding. “It'll be really interesting for Tom. There's been a lot written about him, people questioning his motivation, his fitness, can he step up there? He's up against Matt Mitcham of Australia, who’s his strongest competitor.”
Balding will mostly be hanging out at the Tollcross International Swimming Centre in Glasgow, and will be keeping her eye on several swimmers, in particular Chad le Clos, the young South African whose father, Bert
Balding will mostly be hanging out at the Tollcross International Swimming Centre in Glasgow, and will be keeping her eye on several swimmers, in particular Chad le Clos, the young South African whose father, Bert, made such an impact on viewers thanks to his emotional interview about his son during the 2012 Olympics.
“But there are some really strong swimmers from the UK, in particular from Scotland,” says Balding. “I hope Hannah Miley defends her medley title, and then there's Michael Jamieson, who got the best result of all the swimmers at the Olympics with a silver medal. He's in there with a really good chance of getting Scotland’s first gold in the pool.”
Whatever happens, we’re looking forward to 11 days of top-class competition, and we hope a few more star performers become household names by the time the closing ceremony begins.
The Commonwealth Games Opening Ceremony will be shown on BBC1 on Wednesday from 8pm
