THE OSCARS 2018 – ACADEMY AWARDS NOMINATIONS 2018

The Shape Of Water sweeps the board with 13 Academy Award nominations... while Dunkirk and Three Billboards Outside Ebbing, Missouri emerge as strong Oscars contenders

Angelina Jolie was noticeably snubbed along with All Of The Money In The World star Michelle Williams and actor James Franco

Directors Steven Spielberg and Ridley Scott were also missed when the 2018 nominations were announced live from Los Angeles on Tuesday

The Shape Of Water has won a total of 13 nods, compared to eight for Dunkirk and six for fellow British wartime film Darkest Hour

Elsewhere, the film's leading actor Gary Oldman is nominated for Best Actor. This season, he has already won the Golden Globe award and the Screen Actors Guild for his role as Winston Churchill

Shock nominations included musician Mary J. Blige, who is the first person to be recognised in an acting category and a musical category in the same year

Actress Octavia Spencer also became the first black actress to get multiple follow-up Oscar nominations, following her win in 2012

Hollywood producer Harvey Weinstein is this year banned from the ceremony, after being dropped as a member of the Academy

The 90th annual Academy Awards will be held live from the Dolby Theater in LA on March 4, 2018 and hosted by talk show host Jimmy Kimmel for the second time in a row

MISSY ELLIOT TO RELEASE NEW ALBUM

Timbaland Says New Missy Elliot Album is on the Way

It’s been well over a few years since Missy Elliot debuted an album. In 2005,  she released The Cookbook and since then Missy has been off the rap radar. Earlier this year Missy appeared on  Yahoo!’s “The Yo Show” and hinted at new material she also made an appearance at this year’s BET Awards. According to Timbaland, she’s been cooking up her 7th studio album, Block Party. In an interview with Rolling Stone, Timbo dishes on the album’s status and how him and Missy work together.
“It’s coming,” he said about the album. “It’s on her. She got the first single, it’s just a matter of when she wants to do it. We got the hollow-tip bullet in the gun. We have the game-changer right there.”
Tim also revealed something really interesting about how Missy records and admits that the two have always worked this way.
“I’ve never watched her record, never in my whole career,” Timbaland admitted. “I do it, she be like, ‘OK, I got it,’ and I leave the room. She kicks us out. That’s how she do it: She does everything herself.”
Speaking on the album’s sound Tim said,  ”It’s something you ain’t never heard Missy do. It sounds today, but the future.” Coming from Tim, this sounds promising but we’ll keep you updated as more information becomes available.
Deniqua is focusing on LAL (Life After Lebron) however, she’s glad Wade decided to stay with Miami. You can find her on Twitter (@__hennystraight) possibly looking to replace her Miami Heat header.
