The world was introduced to the newest member of the royal family Saturday when Duchess Kate and Prince William left St. Mary's Hospital in London, the same day Kate gave birth to the little princess.
Her Royal Highness The Duchess of Cambridge was safely delivered of a daughter at 8.34am. The baby weighs 8lbs 3oz. The Duke of Cambridge was present for the birth.
The Queen, The Duke of Edinburgh, The Prince of Wales and The Duchess of Cornwall, Prince Harry and members of both families have been informed and are delighted with the news. This portrait of Her Majesty the Queen by the renowned British photographer David Bailey has been released to mark her 88th birthday on Monday.

The photograph was taken at Buckingham Palace in March and was commissioned on behalf of the Government’s GREAT Britain campaign, which aims to generate jobs and growth through highlighting Britain as a world-class destination for trade, tourism, investment and education. “I’ve always been a huge fan of the Queen,” Bailey says. “She has very kind eyes with a mischievous glint.”

Bon Jovi had two very high-profile backup singers during a special charity-fundraiser performance.
Taylor Swift and Prince William sang along with the rocker during an acoustic rendition of Livin' on a Prayer at a Kensington Palace gala Tuesday.


The gala benefited one of Prince William's favorite charities, Centrepoint, which supports homeless youth.
